I did it! Again!

Jay and I (she’s the nanny) went to the gym again today! I was almost ready to cancel because I was so tired after work, but I’m glad we went. 

Yesterday, I did a mile on the treadmill (well, about 1.25 miles) and 3 miles on the stationary bike. Today, I didn’t get quite as far. I did 1/2 a mile on the treadmill (10 minutes) and over 3 miles on the bike. But I also did about 150 arm-weight thingies. Most were 30 pounds, but about 50-60 were 45. Holy cow, I’m going to be sore! THIS is what I used. 

Also, today when I put on my jeans, they weren’t tight! In fact, they were bordering on loose! What??! And Mr. Byrd says I’m smaller. Good day!

Now I have to find some dinner… and maybe some ice. 

Aack!

I joined the gym! Orientation is tomorrow. Water aerobics start Monday!

I THINK I’m losing weight. It’s finally coming off below my belly button. FINALLY. 

I’ve been walking a lot to try to speed things up (and get in the habit). Tonight I took another mile walk (almost – it was actually .91 miles, but it was SO dark!) Tonight or tomorrow (probably tomorrow) I’m going to get some weights and see if I can find something to do with my arms. As I’m sure I’ve mentioned, I’m most afraid of loose skin there. 

As for food, I had lunch meat, cheese, and a quarter of an avocado today. I had an egg for lunch. I feel hungry. I’m sure it’s thirst and head hunger, but I really want more salt. I may have to make something for my 3rd meal. 

Or I may have pudding. Yup, I made chocolate pudding! It’s not perfect. I need more practice. AND it took 2 days to get it setup. But it tastes rich, sweet, and delicious, and it’s practically calorie free. The only things is has are milk and butter. Everything else is calorie-free. 

One last thought: tomorrow is my appointment with the surgeon and nutritionist. I’m sure I’ll have an update afterward!

Exercise

Today I made 4 new records: longest walk (distance and time), fastest walk, most calories burned! Hooray!

Now for a cold drink and a rest.

Still hungry, but okay at the moment

I had some golden mushroom soup this afternoon. I decided it was foul, so I tried some beef broth. It was better, but how much of that can anyone actually eat? 

Anyway, with 2 things made and tried and failed, I feel like eating for today is over. I’ve been drinking a lot,, and I had some calcium (2 more tabs and I’ll actually have everything I need for today!), so I’m not hungry. It’s actually easier this evening. 

Also, we took a talk – a tiny bit over a mile. Teacup enjoyed it and went down better. I walked off some frustration. I burned 100 calories (well, 95) I feel better. Tomorrow I’ll have a different soup. 

I also did a bunch of measurements and recorded them. There will probably come a time when I have my book near enough my computer to transfer them here, but for now, let’s just say it was all way higher than I’d like to admit. 

Anyway, there’s a positive (ish) post. Tomorrow is Sunday – perhaps a long day, but I hope to find something to do). Then Monday I go back to work. Monday afternoon is my PCP appointment – a followup on blood sugar. Tuesday I see the surgeon and dietitian. I really, really, really hope she tells me I can eat purees. I NEED some food! So that’s what I’m holding out for.
